While preparing my portfolio for the evaluation techniques course, I learned a lot about assessment and its place in education. I am not a teacher currently, but these were vital teaching tools I learned how to use properly along with the feedback cycle and measurements of success so you can know for yourself whether are kids learning or not.
Graphic organizers like Venn diagrams, timelines or whatever helps keep information organized and shows students understand. I noticed how using digital tools, such as Edmodo and Kahoot can create more fun and interactive assessments for students.
This portfolio has provided me with a good taxonomy on assessment practices that I can integrate in my class. Though I am at the start of my teaching journey, I feel more prepared to create effective evaluations that support student growth.
