BUSINESS PRerequisite OPtions

*Choose (1) prerequisite option to complete for your tryout. You may complete several if you'd like, but you are not required to complete all of them. Attach all prereq material to Submission Form once completed.

Option 1:

Given prompt and information (time and date, location, event information, etc.), design at least 3 hand drawn thumbnails (example provided in Drive folder). Pick what you believe to be the best design and using any digital app (Canva, Picsart, Procreate, Illustrator) create the actual poster (document size of printer paper 8.5” x 11”) and submit it with your application. If you do not have access to any digital software, please draw the poster on a regular sheet of printer paper.

• Event: Inter-League Tournament (ILT)
• Date/Time: Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 8 AM - 6 PM
• Location: Monrovia High School
• Content:
  • Support 10318 Ramdroids at ILT!
  • Food trucks, watch FTC matches, freebies, etc.
• Things you must include in your design:
  • 2-3 colors (Suggested colors: green & yellow)
  • Ramdroids logo (logo download included in Drive folder)

Option 2:

Create a 45-60 second video based on (1) of the following themes:

• Theme: "What does the word 'team' mean to you?"
• Theme: "Create an ad for yourself"
• Theme: "What motivates you?"

Get creative with your video. Highlight film making and editing skills. Bonus if you can do animation. Note, this is different from the optional 45-60 second video introducing yourself.

Option 3:

Create an outreach plan for the following event:

• Event Name: SYAN Expo
• Nature of Event: A STEAM fair, where several other groups and organizations have booths set up to showcase their creations.
• Date: 4/20/2020
• Budget: $100
• Booth Space: 10'x10' area
• Target Audience: Elementary School Students

In your prerequisite, include:

• Idea(s) for engaging and memorable activities for people who visit our booth. Note that the event targets both children and professionals in the STEM field.
• Ideas of promotional material and ways to decorate our booth.
• Estimate of expenses for promotional material and activities you mentioned before. Note our budget is $100.
  • Essentially "sell" your ideas to us.

How you format/outline your outreach plan is up to you, but make it neat and readable. Attach your outreach plan as a PDF/shareable doc.
