To Nathalia-
Hey Nathalia! When I met you, what made you so unique was your confidence level. You were always confident in the actions you always did. As a student in the Speech and Debate class sophomore year, I saw that you were an amazing speaker and debater. You really knew how to take in perspectives, and talk. Because of that, you became more open-minded and cared for people, including me. When you saw me in the most vulnerable state, you always offered me help. You would be one of the only other Helping the Homeless members volunteering during our summer events since you knew that I needed help. I thank you for that. I see that not only do you apply this empathy and love to your friends, but you apply this when you volunteer to the homeless community. Seeing how COVID-19 impacted the homeless individuals, you volunteered with passion and care. I'm glad that you're the very first candidate in Timber Creek Helping the Homeless to ever get this award. Thank you!

To Santiago-
I think that you really deserved this award. Volunteering with you since sophomore year, I saw the huge character development he had in the club. You became such a more confident person as you were in the club. Not only that, you showed a lot of passion and care for the club. Whenever I asked you why did you do these events, you would always respond that because you just love to volunteer with the club. When I heard this as a sophomore, I was really glad that I found a friend that was as passionate about the club as me. Now working as Vice President, you are an amazing officer that contributed so much to the club. By calling up homeless shelters and guiding members at these events, you became such a remarkable person that I even never expected. Even when you were most stressed with your family and job, you still showed up to these volunteering events. Your commitment to being in the club was what made you most unique out of everyone. You always cared about the well-being of others, making the light in any room with your humor. I love you Santiago, and I will always cherish the memories I have with you no matter what. I am glad that I was able to give you this award. I would not have had it any other way. Thanks!

To Nhu-
When I first met you, I was introduced to the amazing passion you had to towards helping out the community, but not having an idea of where to start. As a person who also went through a language barrier as well, I wanted to help you out. By learning how to do the service forms, and taking many volunteer opportunities in your junior year, you became such a wonderful person. Your wings spread as you volunteered more. You showed up to almost every #lunchbag during junior year when it was most needed due to COVID-19. You kept on going, and your resilience was what made her stand out. I admire you Nhu, for all the obstacles you dealt with in life. It has been an honor for me to give you this award. Out of all of that, you still do more as an officer: you lead the events, sign community service forms, and answer any members' questions. You did so much more than what you applied for, and your happiness and passion in doing this are what make you such a remarkable person for great success. I just can't believe that you grew up to be this amazing person, and I know that you will continue growing to be such a great leader. Hopefully, we will frequently go on boba hang-outs again after high school ends.

To Kim-
Ever since you joined Helping the Homeless in your junior year, I saw your passion grow for helping the homeless community in Central Florida. Originally, I knew that you did it for the hours for the Bright Futures Scholarship. However, as you did it, I saw that your desire to help out others grew. Then, starting in your senior year, you helped the officer team so much by using your cars to deliver lunches and assisting with the t-shirt distribution. You also gave us many recommendations and guided so much members too along the way because of that, I think you really deserve the PVSA award. I hope to see you someday again in NYC.

Martine Sundsten got Member of the Year for 2021-2022. The current officer team chose her since she persistently kept activity throughout the entire em year. She consistently did #lunchbagorlando and Teens United Delivery, from the beginning and end. What made her stand out of the rest was that she grew from a person who’s shy to now the future Vice President who’s more sociable now! She used this to her advantage, as she leads many of the deliveries at Lake Eola. She never left anyone who did not know what to do alone, making her an amazing leader. She also is demonstrating an amazing leader in the club too, now managing the #lunchbagorlando event with the other officers. Thank you again Martine for all you have done. Congrats for all you have done for the club. I can’t wait for where the future takes you - hopefully at UC Berkeley (UCLA vs. UC Berkeley). You truly deserve getting this award.
