The opposite is true! Technology is not a distraction if the teacher is ready to shift the teaching pedagogy, embrace the generational differences, and understand the many benefits technology can have it the classroom.
Several purposes to using technology in the classroom: (a) teacher productivity, (b) teacher teaching tool, (c) student learning tool.
Not so! When you think about technology used in the classroom, you think about the purpose. What is your objective in the class? Then, what tools, resources, or activities are you going to use or do to accomplish that. Several theories exist that help teachers plan for effective lessons using technology.
Examples of the research theories are SAMR by Ruben Puentedura and TPACK by Punya Mishra and Matthew J. Koehler. Each very different but both very useful.
Incorrect! Technology can be used in any content area and any grade level. The limit is on the teacher creating purposeful and engaging lessons. As a teacher gains experience, knowledge in integrating, there is no limit to how you can integrate technology.

Oh boy! Technology is useful at all ages! All students are flexible and adaptable to learning and using technology. The idea is to use it purposefully! Technology should engage and enhance the learning. There are a multitude of ways to accomplish, but the first aspect to consider and know is your learning objective.

No, wrong! There is hope and you will get it... FAST! Many, many people feel intimidated with technology because it can be daunting. Also, you can get stuck in an internal thought loop wondering many, many 'ifs.' The best thing to do is have an open mind (growth mindset), take your time learning and doing (baby steps), seek help from others and from the apps you want to use, and keep updated on research and technology tools.
And... to add on to number 5. It is no longer an option for teachers to use technology in the classroom. There are standards for students and teachers in the state of Texas. Plus, your yearly evaluation has technology embedded in its goals.
