Kentucky Agricultural Investment Fund (Phase I)

Todd County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP)

The Todd County Conservation District is administering a Phase I County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) for Todd County farmers.  Approved participants may receive limited cost-share reimbursement for approved, eligible agricultural investment expenses.

Signup for CAIP will begin at an orientation/signup meeting on Tuesday evening, February 7, 2023 at 6 p.m.  A second meeting will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.  Both meetings will be held at the Elkton Baptist Church

After the two initial signup meetings, applicants may receive orientation and submit an application at the Todd County Conservation District office during normal business hours, through the close of business at 4:30pm on Friday, March 10, 2023.  The District office is located at 101 Elk Fork Road, Elkton, KY (phone 265-5638, ext. 3).

There are 11 investment areas eligible for cost-share funding.  Maximum reimbursement will be $3,500 or less, per approved applicant; and reimbursement cannot exceed 50% of eligible expenses.  Due to potential prorating of cost-share funds, maximum reimbursement will likely be less than $3,500.  Applicants may choose up to 3 CAIP investment areas in which to spend their approved cost-share funds.

All applicants must meet criteria set by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board, the Conservation District Board of Supervisors, and the Todd County Ag. Development Council.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a current FSA Farm Number.  Additional rules and procedures besides those listed above apply to this program.  Complete program guidelines will be provided during orientation/signup.
