CAN YOU HELP WITH THE CARE OF YOUR COMMUNITY CENTER?

Winter 2025-2026

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This is our soft annual appeal to our community to raise funds to take care of the Thetford Center Community Building located across from the town offices in Thetford Center. The building is managed by the Thetford Center Community Association, (TCCA) - a small group of volunteers. TCCA does not receive town funding or any other funding.

We know that there are so many places needing your donation dollars, but if you are able, we hope you will consider a donation of any size to help us take care of the Community Building!

The building is used by many Thetford residents and by people from all over the Upper Valley and beyond. It is getting a lot of use these days which is wonderful! Some of that use generates the rental income we need to help pay the bills. But also the building is being used more and more for community free- use events and services, which is so exciting. So your donations will support those events and the maintaining of this precious old (1900) building! *

The TCCA Board has continued working on our list of improvements. We now have an AC unit, new flooring in the kitchen, a new refrigerator, new chairs, a new toilet and a new emergency exit sign!

There is always something to be fixed in an old building. We know for sure that sometime this next year we will be looking at connecting to a new septic situation, which may be costly. We have not yet refinished the wood floor, an electrical upgrade may be in our future, maybe window repairs, and we want to keep growing our rainy day fund which has come in handy for unexpected events! We want to ensure the financial stability of the organization!

We thank you for any amount you can give to help us take care of this lovely old and beloved building which is well used and appreciated by the community!

* The TCCA Building does not charge rent for memorial services, senior exercise classes , two Tai Chi classes, the senior coffee klatch, Thetford Community Nurse weekly use and programs, town committee meetings and other free community gatherings and potlucks.

It can be rented for public and private meetings, art classes, weddings, showers, birthday parties, political meetings, fundraising events, graduation parties, and much more.
