Internal training resources.

Time commitment:
We ask volunteers to contribute 4-8 hours a month.
V-Hub
Ensuring volunteers have easy access to resources to effectively contribute means having a place where it all lives. Ease of access means more efficiency and volunteers have the freedom to get tasks done without barriers.
VINFO Portal
The VINFO Portal is for accessing and managing records in our VINFO database. It's where most tasks in Volunteer Services for records administration can be completed, e.g., processing new volunteer registrations.
So, you've decided you want to get started, huh? Awesome.
Generally, after onboarding, your role is self-led, under the supervision of the department manager. You will have support from existing volunteers, your department manager and Directors, so be encouraged to grill them for information.
Yes, even volunteers have these.
Although we guide and support volunteers, it's important for each individual to take ownership of tasks and ensure they are completed to a good standard.
If a task is missed or forgotten, we can easily move it to a later date, but volunteers are accountable for any task they set their name against and should inform a manager if they think a task will be delayed.
VS have access to information about volunteers and are expected to respect any information they are exposed to.
VS volunteers are required to provide evidence of a valid DBS, otherwise the organisation will apply for a certificate. TBYM does not cover the cost, therefore, our DBS partner will issue a charge of £13.20 to the volunteer.
