Volunteers' Hub
Ensuring volunteers have easy access to resources to effectively contribute means having a place where it all lives. Ease of access means more efficiency and volunteers have the freedom to get tasks done without barriers.
Once registered, you'll be given access.
Social Media Complex
The SMC is a Task Tracker we plan content on.
We ask volunteers to work from the top to the bottom so nothing is missed; however, if they're on track, we appreciate them wanting to dive into the tasks lower on the list.
Social Media rely on Research pre-planning what subjects will be covered in the months ahead; they'll be added to the SMC by a manager so the Content Creators can start preparing content for them.
Without content creators, we'd have no content on platforms. Without Research, we'd have no content.
So, you've decided you want to get started, huh? Awesome.
There are some things you'll need to go through before you can actively create and schedule content, but we're sure you'll whizz through them. You'll be directed to these when you've completed some documentation.
What's Involved?
A short onboarding course to help you understand more about our social media.
An induction task: use one of the prompts in the course to complete a design task. This allows the department manager to assess your skill in content creation.
Once approved, you'll be allowed the freedom of content creation for TBYM within brand guidelines.
Yes, even volunteers have these.
Although we guide and support volunteers, it's important for each individual to take ownership of tasks and ensure they are completed to a good standard. Spelling, punctuation and grammar is important. As an organisation - predominantly online - having good, well written consumer-facing content, is vital for our reputation and professionalism.
If a task is missed or forgotten, we can easily move it to a later date, but volunteers are accountable for any task they set their name against.
Interacting with our audience means using appropriate language. Have fun with interacting with others, but be responsible with your use of accounts we have with platforms we're present on.
Support your team by committing to the time commitment as part of the voluntary agreement.
