Bright Tetteh
PhD Candidate
University of Milan & University of Pavia 

I am a final year PhD student (Expected 2026) at the Universities of Milan and Pavia, Italy, supervised by Professor Marcella Nicolini. I was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Arizona, U.S.A under the supervision of Professor Derek Lemoine and co-advisor Professor Ashley Langer.  

I obtained my Master of Commerce (Specialized in Economic Science) degree in economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa, and my first degree in Economics at KNUST, Ghana. I am a research assistant for Water & Production Economics at UCT. 

I have received prestigious fellowships at the undergrad, Master's and Ph.D. levels from the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program at KNUST (Ghana), UCT (South Africa) and Sciences PO (France) and the Italian government scholarship at the University of Milan (Italy). 

My primary research interest is environmental and energy economics (both applied micro- and macro-economics). Other research areas are gender economics, globalization and trade. 

I am on the 2025/2026 Economic Job Market.
