Professionalism
"Taylor demonstrated effective professionalism during her time at Waterloo Oxford. She is a motivated new teacher that is self reflective
and aware."
Supporting a Community of Learners
"Taylor did an excellent job at promoting a safe and trusting learning community. She approached each class with a trauma
informed lens and often used personal life experiences to build relationships."
Planning and Preparing
"Taylor worked hard to prepare lessons on material that she herself was not overly familiar with. She implemented backwards
design to achieve her essential learnings. As discussed with Taylor she is encouraged to experiment with different teaching
methods and lesson organization until she finds one that is a good fit for her."
Lesson Presentation
"Taylor's lessons included a variety of instructional strategies from inquiry based learning to anchor charts. She also effectively
used technology to inform and engage her students. As discussed with Taylor she is encouraged to organize her lessons in a
way that provides more clarity to her students when preparing for activities."
Assessment
"Taylor effectively used assessment as learning during diagnostic activities as well as assessment of and for learning when
providing timely feedback. She used a variety of assessment to triangulate a student's learning."

Planning & Preparing
"Taylor planned some excellent, engaging lessons - incorporating plenty of interactive technology into her presentations. Her
assessment strategy was in line with what is successful for an "E" level senior science course."
"Taylor was terrific in her planning and preparation of daily lessons and activities. There were absolutely no concerns in this
area."
Lesson Presentation
"Taylor's lesson presentations were great. She is passionate about environmental science - and her energy is well received
(even by the most challenging students). Her pace and sequencing is on point and her adaptation skills are dynamic (allowing
her to alter lessons "on-the-fly" due to timing or other situations that arise.)"
Assessment
"Taylor did a terrific job of assessment in her teaching practice and there were absolutely no concerns."
Final Remarks
"Taylor is beyond ready to start teaching her own classes in an Ontario school -there is no question she is going to be a fantastic educator. Taylor's personality, knowledge and skills are rarely seen in teachers in 2022 and I expect that her positive momentum will only build into a top tier teacher. The impact she has made on students in the environmental science class is the most powerful indicator that she will continue to inspire Ontario students during her career."
"Taylor was an absolute pleasure to have in the classroom and easy to work with. Taylor's positive attitude was noticed
immediately by both the staff and students at Cameron Heights. Taylor quickly developed a positive rapport with her classes
which clearly demonstrated a passion for the teaching profession. Taylor showed tremendous growth in her ability to plan and
deliver lessons which were clearly connected to curriculum expectations and overall learning goals. Taylor is beyond prepared
to work as a full time teacher in the classroom, and I wish her nothing but the best in the future. Thanks for such a wonderful
student teacher experience."
