Why do I need to put my credit card information down to book an appointment? Will I be charged?
No! The reason card information is required to book an appointment is to help prevent no shows and late cancelations. You are only charged in the event that you do not show up for your appointment.
Can I pay in cash even though my card is on file?
Yes, cash is always an option. We don't need to charge the card on file.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
That's absolutely okay! Please do your best to give me a 24 hour notice and also read my "policies" page for more information.
Can I book multiple appointments at once?
Yes! If you are planning on keeping up with your lashes, I recommend always having your next few appointments booked in advance. I also strongly recommend booking any appointment that is related to any important dates or events in your life!
Will lashes damage my natural lashes?
No. Lash extensions are not damaging to the natural lash when applying the lash correctly. It's important that we choose a length and style that will be supported by your natural lashes. Everyone is different and I will help you decide the best fit for your lashes while still achieving a look you will be happy with.
How should I arrive to my appointment?
Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup and clean lashes. Wear something comfy as you will be laying there for 1-2.5 hours. If you wear contacts, I highly recommend taking them out for your appointment.
How often do I need refills?
Refills should be scheduled every 2-3 weeks. As your natural lashes shed, so will your extensions. Also, lash extensions will become outgrown with the natural lash growing process. During refill appointments, I will remove and replace any outgrown lashes as well.
Can I wear makeup with extensions?
Yes. Please avoid mascara on the extensions but most eye shadow and eyeliner are okay to wear. Note that products around the eyes should be oil-free and all makeup should be removed at the end of every day using an oil-free remover.
Can I go swimming with extensions?
Yes! Just note that salt water and chlorine can be drying to the lash extension glue so make sure to wash them afterward.
Can I work out?
Yes. I always recommend washing your lashes afterward.
Can I get a spray tan?
You sure can! I usually recommend spray tans to be done prior to your lash service or covering the extensions while tanning.
How do I care for my extensions?
Aftercare will be talked about in detail during your lash appointment. I will also answer any other questions you may have!
How do I prepare for my appointment?
The best results are achieved with hair being about 1/4 inch long (think, grain of rice). For most people, we suggest not shaving or plucking hair for about two weeks prior to your first wax appointment. If your hair is not long enough, you may be asked to reschedule.
How often should I get waxed?
This varies a bit with how fast each persons hair grows, however, the average time between waxing appointments is every 4 weeks.
Will my hair grow back darker or thicker?
No! This is a myth. The more you wax, you will notice the opposite. Hair will eventually grow back more sparse, resulting in an easier, pain-free wax!
Can I tan after waxing?
It is not advised to be out in the sun or in a sunbed for 24-48 hours following waxing. Waxing exfoliates the top layer of skin and your skin needs time to regenerate its layer of protection.
What if I'm sunburned?
If you are sunburned in the area you are being waxed, you will be asked to reschedule. For this reason, avoid prolonged sun exposure prior to your appointment.
Can I be waxed if I'm pregnant?
Yes, just let me know so that I'm aware.
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent way to enhance the lashes by curling and lifting your natural lash. This is a great alternative for lash extensions if you are looking for something more natural with less upkeep. Lash lifts last an average of 6-8 weeks.
How do I prepare for my lash lift appointment?
Please arrive to the studio with no makeup on your lashes. I recommend stopping any use of a lash serum 24-48 hours prior to your appointment and you may resume use of it again 24 hours after your appointment. I recommend removing any contact lenses prior to your service as well.
How do I care for my lash lift?
Aftercare will be gone over in detail at your appointment as well as any questions you may have, but know that you will need to avoid putting any makeup on or getting lashes wet for the following 24 hours. In other words, if you are getting the lift for an event, make sure to schedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior.
What products do you use for your lash lift?
I use Elleebana products for lash lifts.
What is a brow lamination?
Similar to a lash lift, it's a semi-permanent way to hold your brows in a desired placement. We can brush your brow hairs to give a fluffy and more full look to your brows that will last 6-8 weeks.
How do I prepare for my brow lamination?
Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup on your brows. Prior to your appointment, I recommend avoiding the use of exfoliants, AHA's, or retinoids on your face for 1-2 weeks.
How do I care for my brow lamination?
Aftercare will be gone over in detail at your appointment as well as any questions you may have, but know that you will need to avoid putting any makeup on or getting brows wet for the following 24 hours. In other words, if you are getting the lamination for an event, make sure to schedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior.
What products do you use for the lamination?
I use Brow Code products for laminations.
What is a brow/lash tint?
Tinting is a great way to enhance and define the existing brow hairs and/or natural lashes. A gentle, semi-permanent dye created for the brows and lashes is used to darken the existing hair. Tints are commonly paired with waxes, lash lifts, and brow laminations.
How long will my tint last?
Lash tinting lasts for about 4 weeks and brow tinting will last about 3-4 weeks on the hairs and may leave a slight stain on the skin for up to 7 days, creating a "fuller" look.
