Tuesdays: Beginners' Court.
Thursdays: Challenge Court - winners stay, two new challengers come in.
Courts reserved by the club for drop-in are for drop-in use only (see YourCourts for which courts are reserved for drop-in).
Only registered members of the Trilogy Pickleball Club may participate in drop-in play. (No guests permitted).
Drop–in play is governed by the use of a white board that sequences players onto the next open court as follows:
Each square on the board represents a game of 4 players. A square is full when it has 4 names in the square.
A player wishing to play in a game must enter their name in the next available square on the board that does not already have 4 names.
A player or players may NOT start a new empty square until all previous squares have 4 names filled in.
Before erasing names from a square, make sure the players are on the courts and in an actual game, not just warming up on a wet court that is not suitable for a game.
Optionally, at any time, a player may choose to not enter their name on the board.
Games are played to 11, win by 2 with regular scoring, except:
When all 4 courts are in use and more than 4 people are waiting, games are played to 9, win by 1 with regular scoring. Alternative scoring methods as agreed by the members present is also allowed to facilitate faster play.
After the end of the game, all 4 players must vacate the court for the next group, unless no one (zero players) is waiting.
The Trilogy Pickleball Club Board of Directors reserves the right to make adjustments to these rules either temporarily or permanently after informing the membership of the change via club email.
Court #2 is specified for Beginner+ players ("Beginner+" players are self-defined)
A specific box is set aside on the sign up board for court #2
Beginner+ players sign up under court #2
Once 4 beginner+ players have signed up, they proceed to court #2 for a Beginner+ game, to 11, win by 2
If less than 4 Beginner+ are present, regular players may optionally sign up under court #2 with the objective of helping the Beginner+ develop
Regular players sign up in the normal method, utilizing courts 1, 3, & 4 on a first open basis.
If courts 1, 3 & 4 are occupied and no Beginner+ have signed up, regular players may use court #2 for regular play
Beginner+ may, optionally, choose to sign up to play on courts 1, 3 or 4 but should expect a skilled game.
Court #1 is set aside as a challenge court
The drop in board will have a section set aside for the challenge court
The first four people in the morning to sign up on the challenge court will play a single game to 11 win by 2, regular scoring.
The winning team of that game will remain and the next two players who signed up on the board go in to play the winners. Single game to 11 win by 2, regular scoring.
The losing team from the first game goes off and may optionally put their names on the board at the bottom of the list.
The team that wins the next game stays on the challenge court and the losing team goes off.
Any team can only win a maximum of three games in a row, after the third win, they go off and put their names on the board at the bottom of the list. In this case, the next four players on the board go in to play.
Players may NOT have their names on the regular board AND the challenge board at the same time.
