Membership
PTA membership is an important part of supporting our school community. Membership is $11 per person and is open to parents, guardians, teachers, staff, grandparents, and community members.
Joining the PTA helps support the programs and activities that make a difference for our students—and is required to volunteer at PTA and school events, such as Field Day. There is no time commitment required to become a member; simply joining is a great way to support Taunton! https://www.givebacks.com/causes/tauntonpta
The Book Fair Chair(s) help bring the magic of reading to Taunton! We host a Scholastic Book Fair three times a year—in October, March, and June. Chairs help coordinate the fair, work with Scholastic, set up and decorate, schedule volunteers, and assist students as they find books they’ll love.
Volunteers are needed during the school day to help students select and purchase books. Each fair also includes a Family Shopping Night, giving families an opportunity to shop together—including siblings who may not attend Taunton.
Funds raised through the Book Fair help provide a book for every child and support the Maker Space, Reading and Book Rooms, classroom needs, and Read Across America Week.
Help make a difference for families in our Taunton community by helping keep the Sharing Closet stocked! Donations are collected on the first Friday of each month and help provide essential items to families who may be in need.
Volunteers can help collect, organize, and stock donations, making sure the Sharing Closet remains a welcoming and accessible resource for our school community.
Once a month, our Eagles get to visit the School Store during their lunch period and shop for fun, affordable items such as pencils, erasers, 3D Printed items, and more!
Volunteers help set up the store, assist students with their purchases, and keep things running smoothly. It’s a fun way to spend a lunch period with our students and help make their school day a little more special.
Do you have a 5th grader this year? The 5th Grade Committee is made up of parents who work together to make their child’s final year at Taunton extra special!

Whether you have time to help with fundraising, planning, or volunteering at events, there are many ways to get involved and make this a memorable year for our graduating Eagles!
Spirit Nights bring our school community together while supporting the PTA! Throughout the year, we partner with local restaurants and businesses to host fun, family-friendly events where a portion of sales is donated back to Taunton PTA.
Committee members help identify and coordinate participating businesses, schedule events, promote each Spirit Night to families, and communicate with our business partners. It’s a fun and flexible way to support the PTA, connect with local businesses, and build school spirit—while enjoying a night out with your family!
