I trained as a demographer and hold degrees from the University of Strasbourg (MSc, 2007), the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD, 2009) and the University of Bordeaux (PhD, 2015). Currently I work as an Associate Professor at the University of Salamanca (USAL) where I teach courses related to Sociology, Migration, and Quantitative research methods. Previously I’ve worked at the French Institute for Demographic Studies (INED), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
My research focuses on international migration and mobility in Europe, as well as the role of public policies in shaping them. I am particularly interested in the experiences of children and youth in migration (family configurations, living conditions, legal status, education, health). In my work I mainly adopt quantitative methods using different data sources (surveys, population censuses, administrative data), but also aim to develop more qualitative and mixed methods approaches in my recent research.
