Learning Ideas Ltd - Duncan is currently the Head of Music at St Andrew's College in Christchurch and was named NZ Music Educator of the year in 2019.

Duncan has a company called which he started in 2003. Learning Ideas has become NZ’s #1 supplier of teaching resources for music technology, theory and aural. Duncan has been providing one-day courses for NZ teachers for many years but recently started six-week online beginner, intermediate and advanced courses in audio mixing (and how to teach it to high school students).
