Dr Tarun Prakash Verma
Prime Minister's Research Fellow, BDS, MDS (Periodontology), MSc (Biotechnology), PG Diploma in Applied Statistics
I am a dentist-scientist dedicated to advancing translational research at the interface of oral health and molecular oncology. Currently, I serve as a Scientist at MGM Medical College, Indore, where my work focuses on unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying oral cancer and periodontal disease through integrative omics, bioinformatics, and experimental cell biology.
A former Prime Minister’s Research Fellow, I earned my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore and hold an MDS in Periodontology and an MSc in Biotechnology. My research experience spans a wide spectrum—from routine and viral cell culture systems to bacterial pathogenesis, pharmacognosy, and multi-omics analysis.
