I'm comfortable using social media to communicate information about the library. This post is from @CookCrocsLibrary in November 2019.
When teachers need something, I'm here to help. One of our staff wished for a class set of the book Wonder. I put together a Donor's Choose that was fully funded.
The library isn't just about books! Kids love exploring new technologies. This image is from MakerMania in January 2020, hosted by all librarians in the Navarro vertical team.
When the pandemic hit, I used Smore as my preferred way to guide students to our online library and resources.
I have fun with kids. I'm not above creating a GIF of my Bitmoji sliding away from an Among Us crewmember to encourage kids to click on the library BLEND page.
Our staff grew concerned at how our students were impacted by the pandemic. I organized a book study in the summer of 2020 and met weekly with interested staff using the book Fostering Resilient Learners by Kristen Souers and Pete Hall. We were able to stop and reflect on the ways our interactions with students could help bolster their resiliency. The book club also counted toward PLED hours.
