Has a return-to-breeder clause in the contract of every dog sold.
Properly socializes puppies when they are young.
Often participates in breed clubs/dog shows/performance activities (or has done so in the past).
Eagerness to answer questions and provide lifetime support.
Despite everything, there is always a chance for a dog to be an anomaly and develop an unforeseen health/genetic condition. A good breeder, usually alongside their veterinarian, will work with the owner to figure out a solution that is fair to all parties - especially to the dog.Â
