Role and Responsibilities
You are an ambassador
The Check-in team is the first group of people kids and parents meet when they come through the door. You give them the first impression of TapKids, and your smile makes them feel welcome. You are an ambassador.
Your responsibility is to help guests and newcomers to get to know the church and the TapKids ministry.
Your Tasks
Show them where we worship, where children have classes, where the nursery is, where the washrooms are.
Tell them information about the church's worship service time, how the children's classes are organized, and what to expect when they arrive at church.
You are the first line of defence
Checking in the children is one of the safety measures to protect the children. It is important for us to know who attends the class, who will pick the child up, who to contact in case of emergency.
Your responsibility is to check children in, ensure their information in the system is correct, and provide the class lists to class teachers.
Your Tasks
Set up and prepare the check-in desk. Arrive 30 mins before service starts to set up and get ready.
Register newcomers and guests into the church database
Check children in via the Check-In system. Give name tag and security label to kids and parents.
Print out the class lists and distribute them to teachers for attendance and checkout.
Pack up and clean up. Return all equipment and other items to the check-in cupboard.
