Privacy Policy — Tape Measure: AR Ruler, Level

This Privacy Policy explains how the Tape Measure app ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. Data processed on your device
- Camera: used only to run augmented-reality measurements and to capture measurement snapshots. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
- Microphone: used only by the Sound Meter tool to display live sound levels and, if you choose, to save recordings. Audio stays on your device unless you explicitly share it.
- Motion sensors: used by the Bubble Level and Angle tools, on device only.
- Measurement snapshots and recordings: stored locally in the app's own storage. Saving to your photo library happens only when you tap Save.
2. Data sent off your device
- AI Size Estimate: if you use this optional tool, the photo you pick is sent to our processing server to generate a size estimate, then discarded. Photos are not used for advertising or model training.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use a payment infrastructure provider to validate subscription status; it receives a random app-user identifier and purchase receipts, never your name or contact details.
3. What we do not do
- No ads, no ad tracking, and no sale of your data.
- No account is required, and we do not collect your name, email, or contacts.
4. Data retention and deletion
Everything the app stores locally (snapshots, recordings, settings) is deleted when you delete the app. To cancel a subscription, use your App Store account settings.
5. Children
The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
