Eden. Silver City. City of Glass.
The final sanctuary of mankind that has been isolated from the rest of the planet via a mysterious barrier. Nobody alive has any idea how this barrier works, but it has fulfilled its purpose and faithfully shielded the million plus residents of the city for centuries. Eden itself is split into three distinct sections, and ruled by a group known as the Council of Seven.
A titanic tower of white marble in the center of Eden that seems extend infinitely into the sky. This is where the Council of Seven meet to discuss the governance of the city and plan out it’s future course. In that sense it could be considered the heart of Eden.
The highest levels of Eden where the nobility and richest members reside. Not much information is known to the passes, only that it is practically a paradise where any and all needs are provided for. It is everybody’s dream to one day make their way up here.
By far the largest section of Eden, and home to the majority of its citizens. Here, the people live peaceful, ordinary day to day lives. Industry, agriculture, research, education, commerce… everything is focused here on this level.
The lowest levels of Eden, to the point where half of it is submerged underground; This is where the poorest citizens live and where criminals are exiled. ‘Out of sight, out of mind’ seems to be the general attitude towards this section from the remaining two. A bare minimum of supplies is allocated to this section, leading to much conflict over those scant resources. On the other hand, as might be expected of the place all the criminals are exiled to, there is a thriving criminal underbelly. Gangs control huge swaths of territories, and turf wars are both common and extremely deadly. A single member of The Council of Seven is tasked with the governance of this level; however despite their best efforts this is too much work for one person; the official government forces here are often overworked and stretched too thin. This is where you begin your journey.
The ruling party of Eden, seven individuals who govern sections of the city. Or to be more specific, six people who govern, and one who assists the six. Three members are in charge of the upper levels, two members are in charge of the middle levels, and only a single member governs the lower levels. It is unknown how one is selected for these positions when one of the seats needs replacing, but the transition always happens quickly and quietly.
One of the two major gangs that rule over Inferno. An organization with a rather extensive structure system, as well as numerous rules and regulations. An odd group that claims to have a code of honor and are thus ‘noble criminals’. This is somewhat true for a given value, and they enjoy minor popularity among the normal citizens leaving in Inferno. However make no mistake. The members in this gang are ruthless, cruel, and without mercy. Against ‘enemies’, they make sure to thoroughly and utterly destroy them in as painful a fashion as possible to send a message to any other would be challengers.
The second of the two major gangs that rule over Inferno. If the Seven Sins can be considered a highly regimented army, the Night Parade would be an unruly mob. Not so much an organization as a large collection of people with similar mindsets and goals. What they lack in quality against the Seven Sins they make up in quantity with plenty to spare. However, due to the extremely loose nature of this gang, the threat and competence of its members can vary greatly.
A young woman, she is the current member of the Council of Seven tasked with governing Inferno. Cool, calm, and collected, she is somebody capable of making difficult decisions without a shred of hesitation. Upon the taking of her duties, she has analyzed the situation of Inferno and decided that it’s greatest problem is the underworld strife plaguing it. To that end she has mobilized the police force of Inferno like no previous governor has before, and is essentially waging war against the gangs that currently rule over it. Slowly but surely, they are beginning to gain more ground but she has already become the target of numerous assassination attempts by the gang.
A middle aged man with a regal air, he is one of the current members of the Council of Seven, and one of the two tasked with governing Purgatorio. He has a reputation for being slow but thoughtful, a very deep thinker. He is also known for his fair decisions, his impartial rulings and judgement.
A former doctor, he is one of the current members of the Council of Seven, and one of the two tasked with governing Purgatorio. Prior to his promotion, he was known as the most skilled doctor of all of Eden, with even people from Paradiso seeking him out. Since his ascension to the Council of Seven, he is often too busy with matters of governance to continue attend to his doctor duties. However, in his free time he continues to perform life-saving operations whenever he can, and is he known for being truly gentle-hearted.
Public enemy number one. The single most wanted man in all of Inferno. Was once a member of the upper classes, but due to both his ambition and greed, became involved in numerous illegal activities. By the time he was discovered, he was the head of a tremendous criminal organization and had destroyed countless lives. Unfortunately, he was not able to be apprehended as he was able to successfully flee and hide within Inferno.
Cautious, ruthless, and without mercy. He has a personable personality, but looks upon other people as mere objects to be used and manipulated by him.
Burning Demon. One who has broken taboo and made a contract with a Devil of hellfire. He seeks revenge against Mary Allis for the murder of his loved one. To accomplish that goal, he will go to any lengths and destroy any obstacles. Over the years, he has fought numerous deathmatches against Mary but they have not been able to decide a victor. However their battles always result in huge collateral damage with high civilian death numbers. As a result, he is considered to be extremely dangerous. A large portion of his body is covered in burns.
One of the more public members of the Seven Sins leadership. Impulsive and does whatever she wants whenever she wants, but possess the strength to back up her will. Haughty, arrogant, and enjoys flashy things. Likes to travel around with a gang of her loyal supporters, although they are closer to fanatics. Furthermore, every time they go out they lead a trail of destruction in their wake. It is highly advised that civilians should do their best to stay out of her/their way.
One of the more prominent members of Night Parade. Cool, calm, and collected, he never loses his nerve under stressful situations. Therefore, he is given the rather vital role of messenger between the various factions of Night Parade, and is the one keeping them relatively organized and together. He's not particularly a dangerous man as long as he's not provoked, but it should be kept in mind that he is still a relatively high ranking member of the Night Parade.
Witch of Ice and Frost. One who has broken taboo and made a contract with a Devil of permafrost. She seeks revenge against Mattias for the murder of her loved one. To accomplish that goal, she will go to any lengths and destroy any obstacles. Her numerous battles against Mattias have resulted in extreme damage to the city and numerous deaths. As a result is considered extremely dangerous. Large portion of her body suffers from frostbite.
Bladed demon. True name unknown. True age unknown. Place of origin unknown. An extremely prolific serial killer who made a contract with the Devil to further refine his 'skills'. His body counts is in the double digits, but nearly at the three digits. Nobody can read what he's thinking; he'll smile happily with a blank face as he guts his victims. Even after joining the Night Parade, nobody really wants anything to do with him, so he's left alone doing his own thing. His threat and danger level is treated as maximum; if found do not engage but call for backup.
A leader of one of the factions within the Night Parade, she controls her group with an iron grip. She is someone who prefers to solve things diplomatically is possible, leaving violence as a last resort. However, she is also one that once she decides to resort to violence, will go completely overboard in her execution. Still, she has a reputation for reasonableness.
