There are five basic stats, which determines the physical capabilities of your character, and one magic stat that determines the strength of your devil ability. Initially, the stats will range from rank E to A, with C being the level of an average person. You have 16 points to distribute.
First are the physical attributes:
This determines the physical prowess of your body. How much power you can exert, how heavy a weight you can lift, how force you can strike with.
This determines the physical toughness of your body. How much punishment you can shrug off, how durable your body is.
In short, this is your life force. How much energy and stamina you possess to keep yourself going, the overall health and fitness of your body.
This determines the speed you can move with. How fast can you sprint down the streets or how quickly can you launch a flurry of blows.
This determines your hand-eye coordination, how adept or clumsy you are with your body you are. In other words, the precision of your movements and the speed of your reactions.
Then the magic stat:
An unknown source of power that awakens in humans after they form a contract with the Devil. A strange ability that emerges from within the contractor and allows them to perform supernatural feats and acts. For lack of a better understanding, this power is called 'magic.'
All contractor possess 6 points in the MGI stat. Utilizing your Devil's power will cost points of MGI depending on how powerful the effect you're activating. MGI regenerates at the rate of one point per turn.
Furthermore, each contractor can posses up to 3 different 'techniques'. Techniques are specific application of the Devil's powers that can greatly enhance it's effectiveness and powers. You can describe them as 'Signature Moves' in that sense.
The greatest sin that one can possibly commit in Eden. A final taboo which is only broken by the foolish, the ambitious, or the truly desperate. In other words, the summoning of a Great Devil. For it is common knowledge that Devils are beings that exist beyond human knowledge, supernatural phenomena capable of fulfilling any wish. However, it is just as common knowledge that in exchange for the miracle, the Devil will extract a terrible price.
Regardless of the reason, somehow you have found yourself in a situation where your only option lies with the Devil. Fortunately for you, you have managed to obtain information on the ritual required for this through some method or another. However, there are a few more things to keep in mind before asking the Devil to grant your wish.
-Different Devils will grant wishes in differently, depending on their personality and domain. To give an example, take a wish like ‘heal the terminal illness infecting my friend’. A strict devil may heal the infection as requested, while a sadistic devil may do something like transfer the friend’s mind and soul into some puppet or doll.
-On that note, there are some wishes beyond practically any Devil you might summon. Namely the revival of the dead or turning back the clock. Such a power would be in the domain of God.
-When a contract between the summoner and Devil is established, a miracle is created and a price is extracted. At this point, the summoner becomes an official ‘contractor’ of that devil. Via this connection, the contractor is able to channel a small portion of the Devil’s domain as power for themselves.
-Remember that Devil Contracts are the greatest crime that one can possibly commit on Eden. Even if you have a few trustworthy companions who would keep your sin secret for you, most people would report you to the authorities right away if they find out. And once that happens, expect to be hunted down by the Eden police force. Remember, even if one possesses the power of a Devil, their body is still human (unless that is their power of the Devil).
On top of stats and the Devil's powers, all characters are able to take perks to further customize themselves. Players may choose freely from any of the perks in this list or create their own as long as it's in line with the general feel and strength of the other perks. The number of perks that can be taken by a single character is 3. You may take the same perk multiple times to enhance their effect.
There is no need to brag, but you are stunningly beautiful and you know it. Wherever you go, heads turn and people can't help but stare. You attract all types of attention but fortunately for you, you know how to use it to your advantage to get what you want.
You're an expert at not drawing attention to yourself. You know just how to position yourself within the shadows to help people not see you, how to move without making noise. You've lived your entire life hiding out of sight from people, and your presence is practically nonexistent.
What can you say? You’re a quick healer. It’s not exactly to the level of a supernatural ability but you tend to recover from wounds and illnesses several times faster than other people. For example a sickness that might put a normal person out for a week can be recovered within a day.
When it comes to fighting, you have no rules. Cheap shots, dirty tricks, kicking people when they're down, you know exactly how to gain every tiny bit of advantage you can possibly get. When a person is going down, you make sure they stay down.
As slippery as an eel and about as easy to catch. You know all the tricks and tips on how to squirm your way out of all manners of restraints, and when it comes to running away from pursuers nobody is quite as good as you.
Once upon a time, your family was among the upper crust. However some type of misfortune or tragedy struck and sent your family free falling down into the lower levels. Still, your house has not lost all of your former glory as you still possess a few secret treasures; proof of glorious ancestry.
You have found a secret location that nobody knows or visits anymore and have thus taken it for your own. A place to rest, a place to hide, a place to store various treasures, a place to use however you choose.
Within you is an extraordinary drive to continue living; it is very difficult to put you down for good. Somehow, someway you will find some method to cling to life and barely come out intact.
Whether for a certain skill, a past incident, or even a simple unfortunate mistake, your name is widely recognized within a certain sphere of influence. Your reputation proceeds you, allowing you to call upon certain favors or attention that would be otherwise unavailable. However it also means that as a figure of interest, anyone who wishes to find you will have an easy time doing so.
You have been fighting one battle after another from a young age and as a result have developed your own unique fighting style. It has served you faithfully, helping you through battle after battle, and when it comes to fighting those untrained thugs on the streets you have a distinct advantage.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to transform into someone else, and you know every possible tip, trick, and method to achieve that. Whether it's disguises, masks, makeup, as long as you have the materials and time you can turn into anyone.
There is a part of your mind that will never bend, break, nor yield. No matter what happens, you will always remain true to yourself and there is no magic or power that can change that. It is extraordinarily difficult to influence your mind, and even successful manipulations will not last long.
Rather than general education, you received an extensive training course polishing a singular skill. As a result, when it comes to your area of expertise, your talent and knowledge is second to none, and people who require your unique services will come from far and wide.
Despite the taboo, you have always had an interest in the supernatural. Having taken the opportunity to expand your knowledge whenever you could, eventually your hard work paid off in a surprising fashion. When circumstance forced you to summon a devil, you were more prepared than the average contractor and was able to summon a specific devil to suit your purposes, allowing you to gain access to a more powerful wish or perhaps a more agreeable price.
You possess eyes that are almost supernaturally good. The night poses no problem for you as you can see in the dark almost as well as you do in the day, and you can see great distances in perfect clarity.
You possess an air of nobility and dignity about yourself that is impossible to deny. Regardless of the reality of your social status, you act with class and possess a powerful charisma that naturally attracts followers to you.
One way or another, your parents saw to it that you received a complete and extensive education. Therefore, you possess a much more in depth breadth of knowledge than the average citizen, both in the classical arts and sciences, as well as the history of Eden as a whole.
You have at some point in the past lost a limb or perhaps even several. This is not a particularly rare story in the lower levels. And so, you went and obtained yourself a replacement. From a distance it will pass as a limb but upon closer appearance the truth is obvious. Still, even if it’s not as good as flesh and blood, it is still better than not having anything at all, and you may have made a few custom modifications of your own.
There is nothing you quite enjoy more than the suffering of others. How to best hurt someone, whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally is something you understand instinctively. In fact, your cruelty might even surpass actual devils...
Growing up as a street urchin you learned exactly where are the best spots to find any hidden treasures or useful trinkets that other people may have thoughtlessly thrown away. When it comes to searching for an object you have a much higher chance of success.
When the going gets rough, you've always been able to call upon a hidden reserve of strength from deep within yourself. Once per battle, when you are able to instantly recover a third of your MGI, however afterwards you will not regenerate any MGI for the next two turns.
Call it instinct, call it a hunch, but whenever something awful is about to occur you tend to get what can only be called a ‘bad feeling’ about things.
You possess an odd knack for detecting what should theoretically be undetectable. That is to say, you can sense traces of the ‘occult’, if supernatural beings or magic had been performed in an area recently.
Scammers and schemers with their silver tongues; you possess a talent for saying exactly what people wish to hear in order for you to get what you want. You can tell lies as easily as breathing, and nobody can differentiate between your falsehoods and truths.
The greater the risk, the more satisfying the victory. In short you don’t even feel alive unless there is some kind of dangerous situation going on. High pressure situations are where you excel.
No matter how much damage you take, you Wont. Go. Down. Despite taking enough punishment that would have downed most other people, you are able to power through by will alone, for a time.
You possess connections to the criminal underbelly of the city through some shape or form. Perhaps you are a member of one of the gangs or maybe you only just know some members. Regardless they are a source you can tap for information and merchandise unavailable to the common citizen. The ‘Government’ version is similar, only rather than the criminal underbelly you are connected to the Government in some capacity.

Power: She is able to manifest some type of shadow monster in the shape of a giant hound.
Price: Her mind has been linked to the nightmarish beast. In everyday life it might be limited to a few pangs of hunger or violent urges, but upon summoning the creature, it's bestial urges become much more powerful. The longer she manifests the creature, the more her mind is eroded by it.
An orphan growing up on the streets of Inferno, Yuri had to fight every day for scraps just to survive. However, this wasn't exactly a lifestyle that Yuri desired to spend her life doing. Furthermore, she felt great resentment when she saw the countless citizens going about their ignorant everyday lives, not knowing the pain and suffering she had to go through. It was unfair, pure and simple. And it was something that Yuri felt it was her duty to right.
Her first robbery came mostly from a whim. A house with nobody in it at the moment, an empty street... She quickly broke in and stole several valuables before running out into the night. Then came another one. And as her robberies grew, so too did her skills and knowledge. She learned how to watch people's movements, the signs indicting which houses had more valuables, how to properly fence her stolen goods...
However, as with all things, one day she grew overconfident and made a mistake. She had been robbing from the house of some big-shot criminal and was seen, and was now running for her very life. Desperately, she ran into a random room and barricaded herself, but all she had really done was trap herself. All of a sudden, a memory flashed across her mind. Long ago, one of her underworld fences had idly explained the method someone once told him would summon a Devil as they bargained over the price. She had dismissed it then, but the knowledge came searing back to her now. And at this point, she had nothing left to lose...
Somehow, she had summoned the Devil. She wished for some way out of her situation. The Devil stared at her, thought for a moment and nodded, before vanishing. The very next instant, the door was broken down, as three underlings made their way into the room. Yuri was confused. Was the Devil not supposed to have saved her? The very next instant a splitting headache attacked her, bringing her to her knees. Furthermore, a mass of blackness had pounced onto one of the men from behind and began to tear him apart...

Shadow Dive (1 MGI per turn): Yami dives into a shadow on the ground. So long as it is within the shadow it is unable to interact with the material world in any meaningful way, however it is capable of traveling at high speeds.
Dark Arrow (2 MGI): Yami launches several high speed shadow projectiles out of it's mouth at a target. These orbs splash when they make contact with an object, covering it with a strange type of black liquid that burns and erodes objects away.
Spike Shell (2 MGI): As Yami is not strictly a creature with a corporeal form, it is actually capable of shifting and changing it's for fairly freely. In this situation, it can rapidly create numerous sharp spikes extending out from it's body at high speed, impaling anybody that might be in the immediate area surrounding it.
