Company founded by Tom and his father and began producing parts with two screw machines
1981
T&L relocates to 770 Emerson Street and adds 6 more screw machines in 15k square feet
1988
The company grows to 30 screw machines and adds its first CNC machines, employing 45 people
1989
6k square feet of manufacturing space is added with a new Quality Control Area
1990
Total Quality Management processes are deployed throughout the company
1993
The company grows to 118 employees with 60 screw machines, 40k square feet of manufacturing space, and the addition of a new IMAS flex rotary transfer CNC machine
1994
Lunch and locker rooms are added to accommodate up to 300 employees. An additional 30ksf of manufacturing space is added
1997
T&L becomes QS-9000 and ISO 9002 certified to maintain exemplary quality standards
2000
20k square feet of manufacturing space in a new building on the site is added
2003
State of the art, Solid Works CAD System is added to the T&L Engineering Department
2005
The company transitions from QS-9000 certification to become ISO 9001-2000 certified
2007
With over 25 active, major customers, T&L registers as a trading partner with the Central Contractor Registry to pursue opportunities with the federal government
2008
T&L renovated 20ksf of manufacturing space and adds Eurotech CNC turning capability
2009
T&L upgrades its certification from ISO 9001-2000 to ISO 9001-2008
2015
T&L Automatics received registration as a Veteran Owned Small Business from the VA
2017
T&L Automatics upgrades its certification from ISO 9001-2008 to ISO 9001-2015
