Through Their Eyes by Steve Tigner

Ten "First Person", one-man plays.  Ten Bible characters tell their stories.

This enriching book is a fresh look at ten men on the Bible.  It is a great resource for Sunday School classes, Youth Groups, and more.

These profiles have extra-Biblical content.  When evaluating Biblical based story telling there is an important distinction to be made, contrasting material that is “extra-Biblical” from material that is “anti-Biblical”.  Anti-Biblical is to interject, into the story, anything that, even potentially, compromises or contradicts the truths taught in God’s word. I pray that I have never done that. If you find otherwise, please let me know. Extra-Biblical is adding information to the story that fits historically and may or may not have actually been a part of the life experience of the Bible character being portrayed. The distinction is that such additions never negatively impact, compromise or contradict the Bible.

I have used well recognized historical data concerning the times and regions, to add structure to the stories. I have also used my own imagination to deduce conclusions designed to augment that structure of the stories. They are details not found in the Word of God.

I have written this book thinking that there may be others who would like to present Bible characters using this first-person format. As a non-profit user, please be my guest. Use this material just as it is or tweak it and personalize it to make it your own. I seek no credit.

For the most part I have edited the stories to be around 3000 words long. The standard for public speaking is 100 – 150 words per minute. Staying near 3000 words should allow each presentation to stay under 30 minutes.

There is a copywrite on this book and it has an ISBN number displayed on the back cover.  An ISBN number is required for legal sale of the book.

HOWEVER, my agenda is spreading the gospel - not profit.  I will gladly send books to any who ask - no cost.   May God be glorified and His kingdom advanced.
