Wild Med Wednesdays - online program through the Yale PA school on the first Wednesday each month for non-CME lectures designed for student interest groups across the world to participate in. The 90 minute-long sessions will be covering a variety of topics in wilderness medicine and feature a tutorial on tying a different knot to open each session, a presentation from an expert in their field, and an open discussion/ Q&A with the presenter.
Journal Club - Join the Virginia Tech Carilion Wilderness Medicine Fellowship for a virtual Wilderness Medicine journal club series. These journal clubs are designed for students in healthcare fields and resident physicians, but anyone interested is welcome to join. Each event lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours and focused on a different topic within wilderness medicine. During each event, we present and discuss one of the WMS guidelines, review and critique related research journal articles, and work through case scenarios. Frequently, topic experts join to provide their significant knowledge and experience! We also discuss how to become more involved with the Wilderness Medical Society, resources for practical training and experience, and how to implement wilderness medicine into your career.
