Study Buddy
The LAMP study buddy program is aimed at mentoring and guiding first-year college students through the process of applying to early-assurance medical school programs. As an upperclassman, you will be matched with a first-year student via the Match survey. Mentor and mentees are required to engage in at least two mentorship sessions a month. In these meetings you will discuss early assurance programs and advise on how to adjust to college life. By participating in this program you will receive volunteer hours and membership points if you are a LMSA PLUS member. Because of this, a volunteer log will be maintained and updated by mentors after every meeting to ensure all volunteer hours are counted. Each member will also be required to attend one social, one professional, and one fundraising event to maintain an eligible member throughout the school year.
