My name is Tammy Neil. I have been in education since August, 1991. I have taught from fourth grade to high school seniors. I am married and have one child. I am currently teaching Computer Science in Suwannee County, Florida. In my spare time, I volunteer with both #FLedChat and #RuralEdChat on Twitter. It is important to me to support education by encouraging educators around the world to connect. It is through these connections that we grow to be the best we can be for those we teach. I am also the Lead Organizer for our local edcamp. Edcamp Branford started in the Spring of 2015. Last year, Edcamp Branford became Edcamp Suwannee County. Edcamps are "unconferences" that allow the participants to determine what is discussed. Since my first edcamp in 2014, I have attended over 40 edcamps around the state of Florida. I have earned my Google Certified Educator Trainer certification. I provide professional development opportunities for my school district. It is a personal goal to help as many educators as possible learn how to integrate technology successfully into their own classrooms.
