• Research on the use of Visible Light Communication (VLC), where we utilize light emitting diodes (LED) to transfer information.

PROJECTS

1. Security Camera System: As an hobby researched wrote a security camera script that utilizes python scripting in conjunction with multi-threaded programming. This ran off of a raspberry pi m3 module. An IR sensor would trigger--with an interrupt--to start an APACHE webserver that displayed captured images from the raspberry pi on a web browser at approximately 10-12fps.
2. Ultra-Sonic Object Detector: For this project to operate I had to create a Library, which was coded in C++, that communicated with HCSR04 module and the Arduino Uno board. Details on website.
3. 4-WayTraffic Simulation: Designed, teste, and implemented traffic light simulation utilizing an ATMEL board. It’s purely interrupt driven, depending on timer and hardware interrupts.
4. Text document encryption program: Designed a functioning encryption/decryption program that works with text documents of any length. The program was designed and implemented using C language.
5. Temperature & Humidity Sensor: this device was designed using an ATMEL board, the language used was C++ to develop the Library which would talk to the DHT11 sensor.
6. Tesla Coil: Collaborated with a group to create a Tesla coil, employing an air-core transformer. This involved designing PCB, troubleshooting the transformer circuitry, and component level assembly.
