What is the limit between artificial and natural? Between the physical and the virtual. Between the individual and the collective. Between a seed and a star. Between the living and the non-living. Between stillness and movement. Between matter and mind. Between abstraction and figuration.

Between reality and perception. What is the limit between the macro and the micro? Between the beginning and the end.

It proposes, through words and light, to think about the relationship between electrical properties and those of the plants.

Gaia, 2023

Gaia is an Audiovisual Installation that we have been producing between the sensitivity and consciousness of living beings on this dimension. We intend to seed worlds and spread curiosity about the magic of Gaia. Where it is possible to relate to non-living and living beings that activate us and expand the knowledge of the body throughout our existence.From 02/03/2023 to 03/05/2023 Gaia inhabited and transformed with lights and sounds every particle of which she is a part and surrounds her.Exhibited in El Bosque de Tecnópolis, Buenos Aires. Instancias intends our renunciation of the normal motivations to circulate around the city, thus abstracting us from the classic notions of travel to let ourselves be carried away by new and unknown situations that arise randomly, motivating our perception. B2B

B2B is an interactive audiovisual installation that comes from rhythmic experimentation based on the sound capabilities provided by electromagnetic switchers known as relays. The world of electronic arts has opened an infinite number of possibilities to play with electronic components and devices, the well-known “hardware hacking” or “circuit bending” practices. Although this work is not understood as a hack or intervention in the circuitry of an existing device, it is possible to speak of a visual and sound resignification. By enabling viewers to the faint and ephemeral experimentation of the sounds originated by these electromagnetic components, but also, providing visibility to them. The ones that are usually found inside a black box. Its materiality is used to display a visual world that was previously completely hidden. “Our experience of time has changed. Fermine

Interactive sound objectGastón Lefkovics and Tamara Moura CostaIt is from the traditional canons of music where a detune is not valid and in the crossing with the mechanical control systems, that Fermine emerges. A mechatronic project whose objective is to always keep the note of a string sounding at a certain frequency. Thus, a persistent searching for tonal rest is generated in listening.Fermine is sensitive to the disturbances that can be generated by the spectators on its mechanical system, thus reacting to interventions by external agents and thus obtaining an interactive device. These factors add an active dynamic in the way the piece is received and listened to.2019

Fermine is a mechatronic closed loop control system. It consists of a monochord whose frequencies vary between 400Hz and 620Hz. This is struck by a motorized plectrum and its operation comes from controlling that the string sounds, in musical terms, between a D# and an E (between 495Hz and 510Hz). This sound object requires the interaction of the spectators, who will attribute disturbances to the system, pressing the string and, as a consequence, will modify the note that is heard. This will activate a linear and alternative movement of a slide supported on the monochord that will be in charge of achieving the desired range of notes amplified by a guitar microphone.

Miradas

Miradas (gazes) tries to question the role of spectators in contemporary art. It emphasizes the experience of the public in terms of a character of experiences, it will be seen as a spectator and even as a collaborator of the different works that will be exhibited.This exhibition is divided into two essential moments that contain the same work in different formats (reactive installation and performance), these being a counterpoint to each other.Miradas emphasizes the idea of the visual and the sound as a whole, makes use of the role of new technologies for the expansion of the limits of human perceptions.
