SOLIDWORKS is used by millions of designers and engineers at hundreds of thousands of companies. It’s one of the most popular design and engineering software on the market. Known for its range of features and high functionality, SOLIDWORKS is used across multiple professions and industries around the world. SOLIDWORKS uses parametric design, which is why it’s such an effective tool for designers and engineers. This means that the designer can see how changes will affect its neighboring components, or even the overall solution. For example, if the size of a single component is increased, this would affect the joint or hole it’s attached to. This allows designers to spot and correct issues quickly and easily
Tutorial
This is the Pressure Plate made in the tutorial. Above is the drawing and below is the 3d rendering of the pressure plate.
Lesson's 1, 2 and 3
This piece is the top of the container and was made in lesson 1.
This Is the assembly that results from the two pieces that were made to the left and right.
This piece is the bottom to the container and was made in lesson 2.
My Custom Pressure Plate
This step shows the base of the Pressure Plate and what will be built upon.
This step shows the extrude of the base which turned it into a 3d object.
In this step a hole is added to the center and an oval shape is formed on the top of the base and extruded upward.
In this step multiplies that oval shaped extrusion eight times equally spaced around the base.
In this step four holes are added to four of the oval shaped extrusions.
This is the final step which smooths out the sharp edges gives the Pressure Plate a clean look
Fillets
Here I made a half circle using a arc and a center line
Here I extruded the hald circle
Here I made a polygon with 4 different angled sides
Here I extruded the polygon made in the previous step
Here a draft was added to the extruded polygon and a fillet was added to the intersecting sections of the two shapes giving them a curved look
Here the shape was mirrored making the knob like shape a bit more visible
Here the mirrored image was given a few more fillets making the object a bit more eye appealing
Revolves and Sweeps
On the Left the sketch of the image is drawn standing at 220 millimeters it contains two arcs seperated from each other and have two more arcs at the bottom giving the shape a more curvy appearance
On the right the sketch is revolved and is made into a full shape
On the left the handle outline is drawn and is given a small loop on the end
On the Right is the completed structure
Pattern Features
On the left the sketch of the cup is made
On the right the cup is revolved and made a whole
On the left the cuts are made and put in a linear pattern upward 4 times
On the right the holes are put in a circular pattern and repeated 4 times
Lofts
On the left the 4 sketches to make the main part of the hammer is visible
On the right the 4 sketches are combined to make the main part with a lofted boss base
Here a fifth sketch is added for the other side of the hammer
Here another lofted boss base is used to make the fifth sketch and the other half of the hammer connected
Here the flex button on solidworks is used to curve the far side of the hammer
Filets Product
Here a circle with a diameter of 4.20 is designed to make the body of the cup
Here the circle is extruded tomake the body of the of the cup a solid
Here the circle for cutting out the center of the cup is modeled at 3.75
Here a draft is made to create a better shape for the cup
This image displays two of the three fillets used in the cup, one at the top and one at the bottom
Here the third fillet is displayed from the outside of the cup and is shown making the inside of the bottom of the cup smooth
Revolves and Sweeps Product
On the left the sketch for the main body is made
On the right the sketch is revolved and made into a cylinder
Here the pathway for a sweep which is used for the handle is made and a circle with a radius of .25is used for the handle
Here a extruded cut is made to take the insides of the cup out for its functionality
Here a draft is added to the inside of the cup to give it different depth

Here a circle dimensioned a half inch is in a linear pattern 4 times
Here the 4 circles are in a circular array 3 times at 90 degree angle
Lofts Product
Here I made 4 sketches to make into a loft
Here the loft is made with the sketches
Here the loft is flexed into a donut
Mouse Gestures
I think that the mouse gestures are more taxing and difficult to use. I don't think that the gestures make me more efficient cause I'm still finding all the tools manually rather than using the gestures. I like doing things the originally way it was learned, so the gestures don't help me
