Go on a book hunt!

Look in a book and find:

• A word you don’t see very often

• A tricky word (to spell, to say, to remember what it means)

• Words that rhyme with each other on the same page

• A character who does something kind

• A character who acts very brave

• A character who acts differently than they think or than they behave in private

• Synonyms

• Three other words for “said”

• A book with a color in the title

• A book with a one word title

• A book with a name in the title

Writing Ideas

• Write about someone you admire and why

• Write a letter to persuade someone to do something

• Write a comic strip

• Write a news article about something outrageous that happened at a school (fiction or nonfiction)

• Write an ad for a new product to help students do well in school

• Write a script for a podcast or video

• Interview someone you know and try to learn 5 new things about them (boring or interesting)

• Try to write a poem using the spines of books as your words
