The Talawanda FFA Alumni works to deliver auxiliary funding, academic mentoring, and additional complimentary support and resources to the Talawanda/Butler-Tech FFA Chapter, a youth agricultural education organization located at Talawanda High School. Our organization began as a charter chapter for the Ohio FFA Alumni in 1971, since then, we have focused on finding innovative ways to support the high school chapter through community fundraising activities, the proceeds of which support their chapter through the sponsoring of academic scholarships, event funding, and the purchasing of animal projects during the sale at the Butler County Fair.
We also work closely with the high school chapter to provide any technical experience and professional skills needed to further the educational experience of the students, most prominently through the work in coaching members of the Career Development Event (CDE) and Leadership Development Event (LDE) teams.
Our volunteer organization is made up of former high school chapter members, parents, community individuals and other supporters who understand the need for an effective booster organization to work with the high school chapter and the community to better fulfill the needs of the students as they work the achieve their agricultural pursuit and create post-secondary plans after they graduate from the high school program.
