Statistical Physics A (Spring Semester, Thu. 3rd)
The aim of this course is to learn fundamental concepts and theoretical methods of nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. After reviewing equilibrium statistical thermodynamics and the Hamiltonian dynamics, I discuss nonequilibrium phenomena. In particular, I will emphasize the relation between deterministic and stochastic approach.

授業の概要：
非平衡統計力学の基礎的な概念と理論的手法を解説する。はじめに平衡系の熱統計力学およびハミルトン力学系の重要事項を復習した後に、それらの知見を用いて非平衡系の現象を理解することを目指す。特に、ハミルトン力学による決定論的な見方からランジュバン方程式に代表される確率過程的な見方への移行の手続きを強調する。
