　This bakery store, representing Kagoshima, stands in Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. To bring warmth to the industrial area, two stores are arranged in an arc around an organic, elliptical main roof and a central courtyard, creating a bright, airy, and tranquil space. Drawing inspiration from medieval European churches as symbols of community gathering, the design features a large wooden roof intended to become a city landmark. Beneath this grand roof, scenes of people smiling and enjoying their shopping unfold, aiming to create a place where both “food” and “architecture” provide comfort and peace of mind.
