　"環境"を切り口に、建築や都市のより良いデザインを考える研究室です。万物にとって好ましい環境を創ることが建築学の普遍的な目標です。本研究室では、資源・材料・構法・建築・都市を横断する研究活動、研究で得た知見に基づく設計活動、次代を担う人材を育成する教育活動により、その目標にアプローチします。環境に関する種々の課題に対し、自由な精神で向かい合い、解決策を見出し、それを社会に実装することを目指します。

　"半士半農"を理想に掲げ、建築設計や建設作業、実測・実験から理論的な研究、教育やボランティア活動など、グループとして様々な経験を積むことを心がけています。

　This laboratory explores better design for architecture and cities through the lens of “environment.” Creating environments favorable to all living things is the universal goal of architecture. Our laboratory approaches this goal through research activities that span resources, materials, construction methods, architecture, and cities; design activities based on insights gained from research; and educational activities that cultivate the next generation of leaders. We aim to confront various environmental challenges with a free spirit, find solutions, and implement them in society.

　We strive to accumulate diverse experiences as a group, from architectural design and construction work to field surveys and experiments, theoretical research, education, and volunteer activities, all while upholding the ideal of “half scholar, half farmer.”
