About ME

I obtained a BSc & Msc degree in pure mathematics from Tel-Aviv University (Summa cum Lauda) under the supervision of Prof. Lior Bary-Soroker where I did cool stuff with Galois groups and statistical number theory.

I won the schools “outstanding thesis” award on my MSc thesis, which was on the subject of “Galois groups of compositions”. I was motivated by works in statistical number theory which combine the field of Galois theory in the process of solving analogues questions in number theory for polynomials in short intervals over function fields.

I was very fortunate to be a guest student in CALTECH (mathematics department) and work with Prof. Marcolli on a project where we studied the “geometry of syntax”. We used tools from algebraic topology to deepen our understanding of the underlying structures of syntactic structures of over 100 languages, and used some of its applications in order to reconstruct phylogenetic relations.

Proceeding my time in CALTECH I spent 6 months in Princeton University at the Hasson Lab (Princeton Neuroscience institute) as a visiting graduate student, working on a joint project with the Hasson lab and Norman lab, where we used tools from NLP, machine learning and computational neuroscience.

I am fascinated by everything that is related to Korean language and culture (from Korean grammar to K-pop and K-dramas), being a Korean speaker (and learner). I spent two intensive semesters in Yonsei University (South Korea).

In my free time I like to cook, take pictures, travel, study Korean, and watch movies (not necessarily in that order).

Life update: I'm a mom now, so I have no free time! I like to spend the time I have with my adorable son :)
