A transformation is when when a shape change. It changes from an object into an image.

The main four types of transformations are:

• Rotation

• Translation

• Enlargement & Reduction

Example 

Triangle KLM has been reflected across the mirror line to create Triangle K'L'M'.

Triangle KLM is the original object, triangle K'L'M' is the image.
