Currently, I am working on a new project known as Project Light. I do not want to give too much away, however, this game has soooo much potential. The game will be 2D game within a 3D environment. After a sudden blackout, a child whom is scared of the dark, seeks out the help of a drawing she creates on the wall. From the spark of a light bulb, the drawing comes to life. The player is tasked with restoring all the light bulbs within the house within this new Metroidvania. The player will encounter many areas including the garage, bathroom, attic, and even the child's bedroom. Each area has two versions: the Dark and the Light; before and after restoring the light to that section. This will reveal new sections within the level and affect the viewable area. Each area has a corresponding boss with clever mechanics that I will not reveal here. Enjoy looking at some of the progress of the game!

In a small team of 4, I worked on a project known as Project Z. The point of the game was to be a speed platformer in which the player will try to get through levels quickly with various abilities like the Flash Dash. We were able to get many core mechanic working including movement, basic combat, and a working (but lost) dialogue system. We also implemented a prototype flying companion which provided support to the player. Much more can be seen within the GameJolt page! Although the game had many things going for it, production of the game fell through as communication among team members became dormant and no deadlines were set. This allowed me to learn that a structural design process may be necessary for future projects in order to enforce a more timely and consistent development cycle
