SSLG OATH TAKING CEREMONY

March 11, 2025

On March 11, 2025, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Taguig National High School successfully held the Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony for its newly elected set of officers for School Year 2025–2026.

The event formally recognized and inducted the student leaders who were chosen by their fellow learners to serve as representatives of the student body. Each officer took their oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of honesty, accountability, and genuine service, in accordance with the SSLG Constitution and By-Laws.

The annual Brigada Eskwela 2025 was successfully conducted at Taguig National High School from June 9 to 13, 2025. Learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders actively participated by cleaning classrooms, repairing facilities, and preparing the school grounds for the upcoming opening of classes.

This collective effort showcased the true spirit of bayanihan, ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all learners. The SSLG extends its gratitude to everyone who shared their time, effort, and resources in making Brigada Eskwela 2025 a success.

Binhi na hindi lamang tutubo para sa sarili kundi magbubunga ng paglilingkod at inspirasyon para sa buong mag-aaral ng Taguig National High School.

On July 30, 2025, student leaders, journalists, and environmental advocates from various institutions across the National Capital Region (NCR) gathered at Makati Diamond Residences for Climate Talks Manila, a collaborative forum focused on addressing the pressing realities of climate change through education and youth leadership.

Representing Taguig City and Pateros were Division Federation SSLG President Nichelle Anne Paguirigan and YES-O (Youth for Environment in Schools Organization) President Marian Mae Nacional, both proudly carrying the voice of young environmental advocates from their constituency.

On 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩 7, 2025, student leaders from across Taguig City and Pateros—composed of SSLG and SELG Presidents and Vice Presidents, together with their dedicated advisers—gathered for the Anti-Bullying Workshop in Schools.

This program, organized by the Youth Formation Unit of TAPAT under the Department of Education – Division of Taguig City and Pateros, aims to strengthen our school communities by promoting kindness, respect, and empathy. Through meaningful discussions, interactive activities, and real-life stories, participants learned how to recognize, prevent, and address bullying in all its forms.

NATIONAL TEACHERS' MONTH OPENING CELEBRATION

September 5, 2025

Last September 5, the Taguig National High School community officially opened the celebration of National Teachers’ Month. Through the joint efforts and coordination of 𝘛𝘕𝘏𝘚𝘌𝘊, 𝘚𝘗𝘛𝘈, 𝘚𝘎𝘊, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘚𝘓𝘎, the opening program became a meaningful and memorable tribute to our teachers.

The celebration began with the ceremonial release of balloons, symbolizing gratitude, joy, and hope for the future of education. This was followed by the lively performance of the 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙮𝙧𝙚 Corps that energized the crowd, and the rousing music of the 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙤𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙, which filled the atmosphere with festive spirit.

Students also expressed their heartfelt appreciation by serenading their teachers while offering 𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘤𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴, 𝘫𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴—tokens of love and recognition for their dedication and sacrifices.

To make the event even more engaging, the SSLG prepared a special interactive segment, “𝙏𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨”.

This celebration marked just the beginning of a month-long series of activities prepared for our beloved teachers. It was a day that highlighted not only the unity of the school community, but also the deep respect and gratitude owed to the mentors who continue to guide, inspire, and nurture every Tagnatian.

To mark the closing days of National Peace Consciousness Month 2025, the SSLG of Taguig National High School shared a simple yet meaningful act of kindness on September 30. Students received peace stickers with encouraging messages and candies to brighten their morning. With no formal program or speeches, the initiative highlighted that peace can begin through small, respectful, and thoughtful actions—reminding everyone that kindness, when shared, becomes a form of peacekeeping.

On October 3, 2025, Taguig National High School celebrated World Teachers’ Day through the grand finale of TAGNATIAN IDOL 2025, led by the Faculty Club with the support of the SSLG. The event showcased students’ singing and dancing talents alongside the guidance of their teacher-mentors, highlighting creativity, unity, and heartfelt gratitude for the educators who continue to inspire every Tagnatian.

TAGNATIANS GOT TALENT - AUDITION 2025

The first-ever school-wide Tagnatians Got Talent Auditions highlighted the courage and creativity of Taguig National High School students as they confidently took the stage. Showcasing talents in singing, dancing, spoken poetry, and interpretative performances, the event celebrated self-expression, confidence, and passion. Successfully organized by the SSLG with the support of dedicated teacher-judges, this milestone marked an inspiring beginning for what promises to be an exciting school-wide talent showcase.

DIVISION WIDE FILMING FESTIVAL LAUNCHING

October 21, 2025

On October 21, 2025, the Division Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) of Taguig City and Pateros launched its first-ever Division-Wide Filmmaking Festival, streamed live via MS Teams and the DepEd TAPAT Facebook Page, and held onsite at the Taguig National High School ISEC-SAS Laboratory. With the theme “Sa Mata ng Kabataan: Pelikula para sa Pag-unawa at Pagkalinga,” the festival empowered student filmmakers from 30 TAPAT secondary schools to create impactful films promoting awareness on anti-bullying and mental health. The project was led by the DFSSLG President, who also serves as the SSLG President of Taguig National High School, highlighting strong student leadership and collaboration across the division.

On November 3, 2025, the DFSSLG of Taguig City and Pateros joined the DepEd NCR 50th Golden Anniversary Gala held at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. Representing TaPat, DFSSLG President Nichelle Anne Paguirigan served as the student representative, highlighting youth leadership during this milestone celebration. The event gathered educators, students, and leaders across NCR to honor five decades of dedication and collaboration in education, strengthening the shared vision of One NCR, Stronger Together.

On November 4, 2025, the DFSSLG President Nichelle Anne Paguirigan, together with DFSELG President Prince Crizzo and the TaPat YFD Coordinators, participated in a special workshop held at the DepEd NCR Conference Hall in celebration of National Children’s Month and National Students’ Day. Joined by NCR Division Presidents of the DFSSLG and DFSELG, the activity centered on the theme “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” and focused on strengthening awareness against online sexual abuse and exploitation while promoting children’s rights and digital safety. In celebration of Children’s Month 2025, SSLG Taguig National High School representatives actively participated in the Children’s Digital Safety Workshop on November 13, 2025, held at the Taguig Center for Disaster Management, Central Signal. Anchored on the theme “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!”, the workshop focused on online safety, responsible digital behavior, and protecting children from online sexual abuse and exploitation. Through this initiative, SSLG leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a safer, more responsible, and empowered digital community for all learners.

From November 19–21, 2025, SSLG Taguig National High School representatives actively participated in the Children’s Congress, engaging in discussions and workshops that amplified the voice and rights of the youth. DEPED NCR REGIONAL YOUTH SUMMIT 2025

On November 25, 2025, student leaders and advisers from across NCR gathered for the first-ever DepEd-NCR Regional Youth Summit at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon City. With the theme “Strengthening Student Leadership in Fostering Positive Peer Relations and Anti-Bullying Advocacy,” the summit equipped participants with strategies to promote safe schools, learner protection, and youth-led anti-bullying initiatives. Representing Taguig National High School, Nichelle Anne Paguirigan and Louisebien Sarmiento actively engaged in workshops, discussions, and collaborative activities, demonstrating leadership, empathy, and advocacy for a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all learners.

On December 18, 2025, SSLG Taguig National High School led the annual Decembreeze project, spreading smiles, joy, and hope across the school community. DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION SEMINAR

On December 18, 2025, Taguig National High School successfully conducted the School Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Seminar to promote a drug-free school community. Led by Mr. Cyril Poblador with support from the SSLG, BKD, and partner agencies of the Taguig City Government, the seminar educated students on the effects of drugs on the body and mind, as well as responsible decision-making. With guidance from resource speaker Ms. Flordeliza C. Orofino and active student participation, the seminar culminated in a heartfelt pledge against drugs, reinforcing the shared goal of a safe, responsible, and empowered school environment.

The event commenced with an electrifying opening production, setting the stage for a series of performances that highlighted the dedication, creativity, and passion of the candidates.

Throughout the evening, each presentation — from talent performances to formal walks — exemplified poise, skill, and commitment. The awarding ceremony served as the culmination of the competition, recognizing the accomplishments and achievements of the candidates.

The event was marked by vibrant performances from the TNHS Chorale, Indak ng Agila Dancers, and Grandjoe Band, which added energy and artistry to the program. Overall, the Finale was not only a celebration of individual excellence but also a testament to teamwork, preparation, and the vibrant spirit of the Tagnatian community.

The Leadership Capacity Building 2026, held on March 5–6, 2026 at Lime Hotel, Pasay City, gathered SSLG advisers and presidents for a two-day seminar and series of leadership development activities aimed at strengthening effective student governance and leadership skills. On February 28, Project KINABUHI Year 2: Kinabukasang Alay sa Bayang Umaasa sa Handog ng Inisyatibo was successfully conducted through the initiative of student leaders and volunteers from Grades 11 and 12 (HUMSS, ABM, and GAS). The activity aimed to promote cleanliness, order, and environmental responsibility within the school. The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) served as one of the partner organizations, collaborating with La Liga Humanista, Angat Kabataan Taguig, and ANAK Sulong Kabataan to support the implementation of the project. Through the collective efforts and volunteerism of the participating students and organizations, the initiative contributed to creating a cleaner and more conducive learning environment for the school community.
