Finally, Tagaytay wants to capitalize on its ecotourism and wellness potential. It aspires to be a premier eco-friendly and wellness-oriented destination. The city plans to promote nature-based tourism, wellness centers, and sustainable businesses that highlight its cool climate and beautiful scenery.
SUMMARY
The top three PESTLE factors chosen for Tagaytay Political, Economic, and Environmental were identified as the most significant influences on the city’s overall progress and sustainability. Politically, the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2021–2029 provides the foundation for structured governance and sustainable urban development. Economically, tourism revenue remains the city’s primary source of income and employment, but heavy dependence on it makes the economy vulnerable to disruptions such as natural disasters. Environmentally, Tagaytay’s cool climate continues to be its strongest natural advantage, supporting tourism and agriculture, although the city must still strengthen its environmental management and infrastructure as it develops.
These three factors were prioritized because they not only reflect Tagaytay’s existing strengths but also reveal the areas that require long-term planning and protection. Together, they represent the city’s political direction, economic lifeline, and environmental identity all essential to achieving balanced and sustainable growth for Tagaytay’s future.
