This Privacy Policy explains how Tabled (“Tabled,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Tabled mobile application, website, and support services.
SUMMARY
Tabled is a personal cooking app. No account is required. Your saved recipe library, meal plans, grocery lists, settings, and other core app data are stored on your device. Tabled does not sell personal information and does not use your information for advertising or cross-company tracking.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Tabled stores saved recipes, ingredients, instructions, meal plans, grocery lists, preferences, and related app data locally on your device. Photos selected for import are processed with Apple’s on-device text-recognition tools. Local data remains on your device unless you choose to share it, contact support with it, or a feature described below sends limited information to a service provider. Tabled does not currently provide an account system or cloud backup. Deleting the app may delete this local data.
INFORMATION COLLECTED FOR ANALYTICS AND DIAGNOSTICS
Tabled uses a randomly generated analytics identifier to understand whether the app works and to diagnose recipe-import failures. The information may include:
• Product interaction, such as onboarding, recipe-import, recipe-save, cooking, paywall, and purchase events.
• Device and app information, such as device type, operating-system version, app version and build, locale, platform, and distribution type.
• Recipe-processing diagnostics, such as import source, processing stage, timing, outcome, error category, retry count, response size, and AI token or request metadata when applicable.
• For imports started in the main app, diagnostic snapshots may include a redacted source URL, pasted or captured recipe text, OCR or transcript text, extracted recipe evidence, prompts and model output used to structure the recipe, sanitized error details, and the final generated recipe.
Recipe-processing events are linked by session and attempt identifiers. Recipe text itself is not automatically redacted, so it may include personal information if you put personal information into a recipe or source. Tabled excludes credentials, authorization headers, cookies, known secret URL parameters, API keys, raw HTML, and raw image, audio, and video files from diagnostic events. The share extension records timing and outcome diagnostics, not content snapshots.
Mixpanel processes this analytics and diagnostic information on our behalf in the United States. Automatic event collection and IP-based geolocation are disabled. We do not use this information for advertising, and tracking across other companies’ apps and websites is disabled.
RECIPE IMPORTS AND AI PROCESSING
When you import a public URL, Tabled may contact that website or platform to retrieve publicly available recipe material. The operator of that service may receive standard network information, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
Depending on the import method and app configuration, Tabled may use a service provider to structure supplied recipe content into ingredients and instructions. When used, the provider receives only the material and instructions needed to perform the requested processing. Raw media is not sent as part of Mixpanel diagnostics; recognized or transcribed text may be included as described above.
PHOTOS, CAMERA, MICROPHONE, AND SPEECH
Tabled requests access only when you choose a feature that needs it. Camera and photo-library access are used to capture or select recipes for text recognition. Microphone and speech-recognition access are used for hands-free cooking commands while Cook Mode is open. Speech recognition may be provided by Apple and is subject to Apple’s privacy practices. Tabled does not use these permissions for advertising.
SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES
Apple processes App Store purchases and payment information. Tabled does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat processes subscription status, transaction and entitlement information, and an app user identifier so Tabled can provide and restore Tabled Plus. RevenueCat may send authoritative subscription lifecycle events to the same Mixpanel analytics identifier.
SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device and app details, screenshots, recipe examples, and message. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve Tabled. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
HOW INFORMATION IS USED
We use information to provide requested features, process and restore subscriptions, maintain security, measure app reliability and conversion, diagnose failures, answer support requests, comply with law, and improve Tabled. We rely on the need to perform the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, consent where required, and legal obligations.
SHARING
We share information only with service providers that help operate Tabled, including Apple, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, and processing providers used for requested recipe features; with authorities when legally required; to protect rights, safety, and the service; or as part of a business transfer where permitted by law. We do not sell personal information.
RETENTION AND SECURITY
Local data remains until you remove it or delete the app. Analytics, diagnostics, purchase records, and support communications are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, subject to service-provider settings and legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can decline camera, photo, microphone, speech-recognition, or notification permissions in device Settings, although the related feature may not work. You can stop further app analytics by discontinuing use and deleting the app. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the address on the Support page. We may need to verify your request. Because Tabled has no account and uses pseudonymous identifiers, we may not be able to identify data as yours without information from your device.
CHILDREN
Tabled is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
CHANGES
We may update this policy to reflect changes to Tabled, service providers, or law. We will post the updated policy here and change the effective date.
