Two best friends, Farha and Rosa, catch up on the latest gossip in town with a round of Tabbeh and two cups of chai.

Synopsis

Underneath a homemade fort, best friends Farha and Rosa sit opposite each other with Tabbeh cards and steaming cups of Chai. Rosa has just returned to town and is keen to catch up on the latest gossip. Farha begins by reminding Rosa of the rules of the game, where she transforms into a classroom teacher, explaining the rules of the game to Rosa and the audience. The game begins with discussions of Aboud’s latest mischievous behavior, stealing a teacher’s diary which happens to be filled with love letters to the principal. Rosa keeps losing her cards, and when teased by Farha, pulls out more cards she stole from her brother, as well as cigarettes she stole from her father. The world around them is transformed into an Arabic world. The stakes of the game are heightened when the girls discover an extremely rare card, Fares Al Zalam, and they are taken to a luxury world filled with their favorite food and oversized fur coats. They are snapped back to reality when discussing more gossip about a sister’s friend who eloped, when Rosa daydreams about her own wedding day. Farha wakes her up as she still hasn't won Fares Al Zalam. Suddenly, a rush of wind enters the fort, blowing the cards into the air, all around them. The girls fall back in laughter.
