Identifying key issues for potential action research for:
Classroom Physical Environment:
Classroom furniture arrangement significantly impacts student learning and behavior. At my practicum site, furniture is arranged in rows with ample walking space, ensuring safety and freedom of movement. Research suggests that well-designed classrooms can minimize distractions, improve behavior, academic performance, and foster a positive learning environment.
Classroom Management:
I have learned that effective teaching, thoughtful preparation, a teacher's care for the welfare of the students, and the classroom's aesthetic appeal are all linked to classroom management.
Human/Child Rights and Policies:
During my few years of teaching, I have learned that teachers may unintentionally violate children's rights as they apply different classroom management strategies, for example, the right to dignity and respect. Therefore, teachers need to be aware of children's rights and ensure that their classroom management practices align with these rights.
