March 5th, 2024, Vijay gave a keynote lecture at the symposium "Should we treat aging?" organized at Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany. We are excited to see the growing interest in the field of healthy longevity all across the globe.
March 1st, 2024. Vijay presented the ongoing work of the lab in the context of taurine and taurine RCT in formation at the Healthy Longevity conference at NUSingapore, Singapore.
Our latest paper is now online at bioRxiv (under peer review now). In this study we identify vitamin B12 as the first upstream regulator of taurine sera levels in aged humans. This project was led by talented students Madhu, Ling and Humani and was done in collabroation with Abdullah M. Ali at Columbia and Vidya Velagapudi at FIMM. Feb 2nd, 2024. Vijay appeared on The Been Show talking with Dr. Mobeen Syed going into historical perspectives regarding taurine and what current evidences tell us about taurine as a driver of aging.
January 26, 2024. Vijay shared his views on optimal nutrition for a better healthy lifespan at the daVinci50 Mastermind forum. Notable speakers in the sessions included Bryan Johnson who is famous for his anti-aging attempt to delay the course of aging. It was interesting to hear his thoughts, some of which perhaps I dont agree with, on what he thinks is the future of human species.
