When Sylvia May isn't playing and writing solo, she's playing with her whole band, The Maydays! They are a talented four-piece group focused on making Alternative Indie Rock music together. The influence of The Maydays merges Sylvia's raw and honest acoustic writing with a jammy rock sound that compares to The Beaches, Melodies Echo Chamber, and even Coldplay. They just released their debut album "Won't Fall in Love" and are up and coming in the Minneapolis music scene.
The band was formed during their time as students at Minnesota State University in Mankato, as they were all students studying Music Industry. Their chemistry clicked right away, and they started taking Sylvia May's songs to the next level. In the past two years, they have been writing and recording Sylvia May's first album, "Won't Fall in Love" which is out now!
Sam started as the drummer of the band, with Judah sparkling for us on guitar, but these talented guys also tend to switch between instruments. Josh is our Bass player as well as recording engineer and producer and dad! Sylvia is the songwriter and lead vocalist of the band.
