Sylvia May plays on your heart-strings like an acoustic guitar! With her deep lyrics and emotional singing voice, Sylvia's sound is created to be soft, yet raw and hard hitting. She often focuses on writing lyrics that twist the knife to make you feel that something that's been hiding. Maybe this talent comes from her upbringing in the midwest's long, dark, cold winters. Sylvia hopes her music can soothe whatever aches and pain your heart may have through its vulnerability. Her purpose for writing is to allow listeners to feel understood through her honest approach to the odd and undiscussed feelings and experiences we all go through.

Sylvia May has been coming up with songs since she could sing!  Growing up in the midwest, she was influenced by her Dad and uncles to carry their musical talents into the next generation. She took on guitar and not long after started really writing her own songs. Now, Sylvia studies songwriting not too far from home, developing her sound and learning more about music everyday. She is currently working on her next big release following her new single "Wendy", a heartfelt song about goodbyes to close friends as life changes.
