Founded in 2019 by Carrie Driehaus, Jenny O’Donnell, and myself, Queen City Pollinator Project (QCPP) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to protecting pollinators and educating communities about their vital role in the ecosystem. What began as a friendship over a beehive quickly became a movement to create pollinator-friendly spaces across Cincinnati, Ohio.
QCPP offers science-based programs for children and adults, focusing on pollinator ecology, gardening, and conservation. Through workshops, school programs, and outreach events, the organization empowers communities to take action by planting native species, reducing pesticide use, and contributing to biodiversity-focused projects. With partnerships spanning nonprofits, businesses, and schools, QCPP is fostering a vibrant network of pollinator advocates while building sustainable, pollinator-friendly habitats in urban spaces. As Vice President of QCPP, my roles include delivering impactful education programs, mentoring others, and driving community science initiatives.
