Dr. Syed Adnan  serves as senior GIS and Remote Sensing Expert at Oy Arbonaut Ltd. Finland  which  is a leading  company that uses Remote Sensing (LiDAR) and GIS technologies for a multifunctional and sustaibale forest management. He is also a visiting Researcher at the School of Forest Sciences, University of Eastern Finland. He has a D.Sc. in Forest Science and MS in Remote sensing and GIS.

Research Interests 

Dr. Syed Adnan's research interests are in the field of remote sensing (LiDAR) and GIS applications, particularly in the context of forest sciences. He has published several papers in international journals on the applications of LiDAR remote sensing in forest sciences. Dr. Adnan's research also involves developing new algorithms and methods for better forest resource inventory and monitoring. He has also been involved in several projects that aim to use remote sensing and GIS for environmental assessment and sustainable land use planning.
