About This Campaign
A Lifeline I Can’t Afford, But Can’t Live Without
This campaign was created with one goal: to give Sydney a real chance at healing.
For years, Sydney has been living with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder conditions that often go unseen, but never unfelt. She’s done everything within her power to manage them: therapy, medications, inpatient treatment, crisis programs, and countless doctor visits. Despite her efforts, there are still days where just getting through the day feels like a battle.
Through all of this, one truth has become clear:
Sydney needs support that goes beyond traditional treatment.
A psychiatric service dog could be that support. These dogs are not pets they are medically trained companions capable of recognizing and responding to symptoms of mental illness in real time. For Sydney, this dog could:
Interrupt debilitating panic attacks
Ground her during dissociation and episodes of anxiety
Provide calming pressure when her body is overwhelmed
Stay close during moments when the world feels unsafe
This isn’t a want. It’s a lifeline.
It’s a chance for Sydney to feel safe in her body, in her home, and in her life.
Unfortunately, psychiatric service dogs are incredibly expensive to acquire and train. The cost includes adoption, medical screenings, professional training, and the ongoing support needed to integrate the dog into Sydney’s daily life.
The total cost: $25,000
It’s more than Sydney can afford on her own. That’s why we’re asking for help from friends, from strangers, from anyone who believes in mental health support that is compassionate, effective, and life-saving.
This is about giving someone a real shot at healing.
Sydney has worked so hard to stay here. To stay alive. To keep going.
Now she needs a little help that could change everything.
If you’ve taken the time to read this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Even just by being here, you’re helping Sydney feel seen and that alone is powerful.
With gratitude,
Sydney & Her Support Team
