Summer Learning

Governor’s school is a 4-week residential summer academic program in which accepted students spend 6 days each week attending classes in their chosen discipline (Area I), as well as classes in philosophy (Area II) and personal and societal worldview (Area III). Each afternoon and evening there were many seminars on an extremely wide range of topics, each taught by an expert in the field!

My chosen discipline was natural science. I was placed at the Winston-Salem State University campus where I attended classes in Neuroscience, Disease & Epidemiology, Chemistry, and Analyzing Case Reports. Neuroscience and Epidemiology were the most memorable to me!
